Our FAQ answers some of the questions we are asked most frequently when starting back to school.
Drop-off and pick-up of students before and after school is an ongoing challenge at Silver Oak. Students are expected to come directly to school and go home by the safest possible route. On their way to and from school, parents and students are to conduct themselves courteously and obey all these school and traffic rules. If possible make plans to participate in carpools in order to alleviate traffic.
Communicating with parents and caregivers is important to us. Learn more about how to keep up-to-date on district and school news and events.
As we get ready to return to school, Silver Oak is asking that all students take a Covid test before the start of school on August 17. We will be handing out free at home Covid test kits on Monday August 15 and Tuesday, August 16. Parents are welcome to stop by the front of the school from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. to pick up one test per child enrolled at Silver Oak. Only if your child tests positive, please email Cassie Giannotta or Liz Martinez to let us know. While we will no longer be conducting weekly surveillance testing in the classroom, if your child does test positive for Covid during this school year, we appreciate you letting us know. Thank you.
