Mrs. Hokanson is excited to tell everyone about some interesting new books that have arrived in our library. One is a series that takes place in the San Francisco Bay area. She says students are really enjoying these books because they recognize the locations they are reading about. Another is a series of girl empowerment books. She is looking forward to sharing all these and more, so stop by the library anytime!
This week was a big mile marker for your child! 2nd grade students celebrated the 100th in-person full days of school. And, let's all give a big round of applause to our 5th graders who celebrated completing their 1,000th day of school! Join in this fun Silver Oak tradition and support our Student Council while spreading smiles and happiness throughout our school. 6th Grade Parents: The state of California requires that before 6th graders can attend 7th grade, they must submit proof of a TDap and Varicella immunizations. Please read the story for details on how you can meet this requirement and submit documentation before April 14.

Birthday Book Club is a monthly event to celebrate your child's birthday by donating a book either to the classroom library or the school library for all to enjoy. We will be celebrating January and July birthdays this month on Jan 27, 2023.
