Student 2 Student Learning Program is a peer-to-peer tutoring program founded by high-school students from Palo Alto, California and a former Silver Oak student. This program offers free, remote 1 on 1 tutoring sessions across a variety of topics including English, math, history, science, world language, and interdisciplinary work. See contact info in story

One important end of the year housekeeping task for parents includes taking a minute to access your PowerSchool account, review your contact information is correct, then file your login information somewhere you can easily find it when school begins in August. Read story for details.
All borrowed devices (iPads, Chromebooks, MacBooks and hot spots) need to be returned to school by Friday, June 11. Students who will attend summer school and need to continue borrowing these items may keep them through the summer school term.
Principal Greenfield is looking for a parent volunteer interested in serving as the SCHOOL WEB MASTER. This person would work closely with Mr. Greenfield & Ms. Liz, as well as the PTO Communications Director to publish web site, ParentSquare, and social media content on behalf of Silver Oak.
The class gift is a cherished tradition at Silver Oak. The Class of 2021 has updated our playground ball wall with two unique murals. For rising 3rd - 6th graders who love to read, book lists for the Fall 2021 BATTLE OF THE BOOKS contest are now posted. There are separate lists for grades 3-4 and grades 5-6 that are selected by America's Battle of the Books organization. For the 2021-2022 school year, ESD is offering a long-term independent study option to students and families whose health would be put at risk by in-person instruction. Families interested in enrolling should complete a Remote Learning Program-Enrollment Interest Form by Sunday, August 1 and attend a parent information meeting on Monday, August 9.
