Dear Silver Oak Community, It is with a mix of emotions that I share with you that, after eight incredible years as the principal of Silver Oak, I will be embarking on a new chapter of my educational journey.

Parents please mark you calendars. Thursday, June 8 is NOT a minimum day. We will follow our regular day dismissal schedule on June 8. The last day of school, Friday, June 9, is a minimum day and students will be dismissed on the minimum day schedule.

On Monday, June 5, teachers will distribute the 2023-34 yearbooks to those who pre-purchased them. Unfortunately, we will not have any extra copies available for purchase this year.
Join us in reading the May edition which includes short tributes to our three retiring staff members who have shaped young minds and created a positive learning environment. And there is a special message for every teacher who has played a pivotal role in our students' growth and success. Fun Fest will be held on June 6 from 4p.m.–7p.m. What is Fun Fest? It’s a community celebration for all the kid’s hard work this school year! Enjoy food trucks, games, raffle prizes and time with your kids and friends!

After 3 months of dedication and hard work, Silver Oak Lower Grade play students (Grade 1 - 3) performed 4 shows of Annie Kids on 5/18/2023 and 5/19/2023. Such great performances! Well done!
We were able to raise $20k during the pledge portion of the program, which will be used to restock our much needed P.E. equipment. We are also working to finalize pricing to install either outdoor rated water fountain/bottle filling stations or state of the art hand washing stations for our MPR.
Class assignment information for the 2023 - 2024 school year will be available for viewing in your PowerSchool Parent Portal on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 5 p.m. Before the end of this school year we strongly encourage you to log into your PowerSchool account and make sure all your contact information is current. Then, please remember to put your login information in a place you can easily find it when class assignments are released on August 18. The first day of school for the 2023-24 year is Monday, August 21. If you need assistance, please call the office at 408-223-4515.
