Safe School Notice Drop Off and Pick Up

Over the past few weeks there have been a number of close calls as people continue to make illegal u-turns on Farnsworth, attempt to turn left into the main parking lot, and park along the road between the school entrance and the country club pool gate. All of these create dangerous situations for both your kids and yourselves. Your child will be safe waiting an extra few minutes for you to properly enter the school parking lots without taking risks on Farnsworth. Student safety and courtesy for others are matters of considerable importance at Silver Oak School.  It is crucial that parents do their part to assist in this effort.  We request that all families click on Read More below and respect our traffic guidelines and those who enforce them. Please help us help keep your child safe by following our school traffic rules.

Help your child return their library books

To help keep our school library running smoothly, please check with your child or their teacher about their upcoming library checkout day. On that day, please help your child return ALL their library books, whether they want to renew them or not. (Renewed books come back home the same day!) With so many books overdue, your help ensures everyone has a chance to explore new titles. Thank you!

New Library Hours

Silver Oak Library has some exciting updates! Our librarian, Mrs. Gordon, has expanded the library hours to be open before school (7:50-8:05 a.m.) and after school (2:15-2:35 p.m.), except on minimum days when hours are 12:35-12:50 p.m.). This is a great chance for students to drop off or exchange books.

There's more! The library has a new rug for story time, making it an even more inviting space for young readers. Plus, they've added a bunch of new books, including the popular "Bad Guy" graphic novel series. Be sure to stop by and check them out.
