Additional Supports
PBIS Student Support at Silver Oak
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is how we teach, reinforce, and support the behaviors that help every child feel safe, learn well, and belong. PBIS is a research-based, districtwide framework focused on prevention, consistent teaching of expectations, and restorative responses to behavior.
What PBIS Looks Like at Silver Oak
Our schoolwide expectations called the 4 BE’s: Be Prepared, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe are taught and practiced in classrooms and common areas throughout the year. Families will also see recognition of positive choices through school programs such as weekly PBIS Saber Savers and Student of the Month.
Layers of Student Support
How Families Are Kept in the Loop
Teachers communicate classroom expectations, share positive updates, and contact families early if additional support may help. Schoolwide communications such as our weekly newsletter and Principal Coffee gatherings keep families informed and involved.
Recognition That Reinforces Growth
Silver Oak celebrates students who consistently demonstrate our expectations and strong character. Recognition highlights include Student of the Month and everyday acknowledgments from staff that connect effort to outcomes and strengthen belonging.
Safety, Belonging, and School Climate
Silver Oak’s commitment to a safe, supportive learning environment is reflected across official school and district reports, including our School Accountability Report Card (SARC).
