The Falcons 2.0 and French Fries Overcome their Challengers to Win the Championship Round of the 2022-2023 Battle of the Books
The multipurpose room was abuzz as students and parents gathered to watch the final rounds of the Battle of the Books on Thursday morning, November 17. In the 3rd and 4th grade games, the Falcons 2.0 were defending their BOB championship from last year against Golden Readers. This game was nail biter, as the lead changed multiple times throughout the game. It came down to the last question of the game for the Falcons 2.0 to pull off the victory and retain the BOB championship title. On the Falcons 2.0 we had John B., David W., Dylan W., Dylan D., Siddhant B., and Sushil V. Representing the Golden Readers were Pheobe N., Mehda K., Tanvi C., Talia B., Sophie N., and Anaahat A.
The 5th and 6th grade finals saw the French Fries against Ate Them Markers. The French Fries got off to an early lead and never looked back. Jenna B., Lucas L., Mithra S., Amber C., Ean H., and Rohan N. were team French Fries. Ate them Markers consisted of Valencia S., Thulika M., Myra S., Ananyashree L., Amruta N. and Alison C.
Great job to all the teams who participated in our 2022-2023 Battle of the Books competition. Look out late spring for the 2023-2024 Battle of the Books reading list to prepare for next year's BOB challenge, October 2023.
