Silver Oak 5th Graders Mark
1,000 Days of Learning with Kindness Project

Silver Oak 5th Graders have completed 1000 days of school

The 5th grade students of Silver Oak Elementary of 2025-2026 school year celebrated their 1000th day of learning this week with a kindness project where they packed and donated 1,000 care packages to the needy children at Rebekah Children’s Services.

This class began its educational journey during an unprecedented time in 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought the world to a standstill and required students to start kindergarten on Zoom. Through the years, this group of 5th graders has shown remarkable perseverance and growth, becoming thoughtful, hardworking and compassionate students who are eager to make a positive impact in the world.

Community Relations Director Nayeli Ceja-Khaira thanks students in this video for the wonderful care kits they put together for Rebekah Children's Services.
