Over the past six years, under Mr. Laraway's leadership, our generous Silver Oak community has donated $45,000 to this worthwhile organization in support of our puppy Sol and others in the South Bay. With Mr. Laraway's retirement this year we are in the final year of this program and have a goal to collect $20 (or more) per student at Silver Oak to raise the final $10,000 to fully fund the total cost of our dog's care and training. This week, fifth grade students hosted two big events here at Silver Oak: on Thursday evening they presented a high-energy, exhibit-style Open House; and on Friday they presented two school-wide assemblies about Silver Oak's Make It Pawsible fundraising campaign to all Silver Oak students; which mark the kickoff to the final fundraising campaign. Please click the headline for more details and information on how you can participate in this worthwhile program.
