Dear Silver Oak Community, Today I received some great news that I will be able to return to Silver Oak for the 2020-2021 school year. Though I was excited about a new experience, I know with Evergreen schools starting with a distance learning model it makes the most sense for me to continue at Silver Oak. I know these are unprecedented times and in the spring our staff did a great job transitioning to on-line learning. I also know that this year, based off of the model shared during Wednesday's board meeting that we have a lot of work to do to ensure our students continued success. I look forward to continuing to lead Silver Oak and working with our staff and community. Enjoy the rest of your summer and I will share more information when available. Howie Greenfield

Outdoor activities can offer relief from lockdowns and quarantines, and are good for physical and mental health. Summer weather may make the outdoors a little safer, but it won't be enough to quash coronavirus on its own. Precautions like physical distancing and mask-wearing must continue to be followed.
