Aquatic Biomes and Dolphins
Posted 11/28/2017 11:41PM

3rd grade continued their study on biomes. They learned a lot of facts about dolphins. They even learned about river dolphins. They compared the two and discussed if a river dolphin could adapt to living in the ocean since their river biomes are being destroyed. They also learned that despite dolphins sleek shape and agile swimming abilities, buoyancy also helps them stay afloat. They did an experiment with plastic bottles, balloons, and pennies. They also did an experiment with salt water and fresh water and found that an egg will float in salt water and sink in fresh water.
